frigo 4,155 Posted January 24, 2020 Ken...Is this rain or light snow falling in the switch yard?Whatever, good scene and able capture of the falling stuff....reminds me of the start of winter in the small yard at home when I was young.Good work going to my Favourites!Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
Ken Ratcliffe 103,212 Posted January 24, 2020 Laurent, many thanks for your visit and kind comment. The overcast sky and rain help to make this a wintry scene. Best regards Ken. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted January 24, 2020 Ken, congratulations on this superlative image. The treatment, along with your camera settings, has treated us with an antique photograph. The contrast is stark, and the slight toning works well. As a whole, the image encouraged me to wonder whether these cars are still in service. Finally, the detail is sharp enough to satisfy any reasonable viewer; it does the trick for me for sure. - - My best, michael Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted January 24, 2020 Hi Ken, this is a marvelous photo! I really like the tones and contrast. The rain adds another dimension to the image, but even without it would be outstanding. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 25, 2020 Great tones and composition but it's the driving rain that brings this alive. Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted January 25, 2020 Now....this is SERIOUS Photography (note capital P). As soon as I saw the thumbnail I saw the gold glitter, demanding that I open and look at it intently, until I realized it was indeed gold, something to keep.....and so, into my favorites without hesitation. There is not much I can say about technicals....nay, I stand speechless for such unique photography, so masterfully done and presented. I am strong and most positively impacted by this one-of-a-kind Photograph (again, capital P). My sincere respects. DG Link to comment
