This image of flamingos sleeping, preferably on one leg, was taken with Nikon D850, Sigma supertele 300-800 mm, f / 9, 1/1000 sec, ISO 125. Thanks for your comments, ciao Giangiorgio

A charming night scene, Giangiorgio! A wonderful composition with a muted upper part of the frame and a contrasting lower part. Beautiful light, reflections, colors, bird poses ... I read your explanation and tried to determine where whose legs are in this group. Confused. In delight, I forgot arithmetic! Sincerely, Tatiana

Hi Giangiorgio,

another strong flamingo image, with deep contrasting colors and wonderful evening light touching the sleeping birds. I agree with Sandor; it seems indeed if the flamingos arise from their reflections. Well done, GG! Kind regards, Vincent

What fantastic lighting for this very engaging scene, Giangiorgio. Peaceful, serene and beautiful. I'm amazed at how they hold their heads when sleeping. Best regards, Paul.

thanks Paul for your nice comment . It is really very interesting to see this attitude of the long neck folded over the body. sometimes you see some left-handed flamingos with their necks folded backwards,

Whatever they (the flamingos) are doing, dancing the wedding dance, simply sleeping or running around, maestro Crisponi is there to capture the moment brilliantly! Complimenti, caro amico! PDE

Giangiorgio, having read the astute comments the image already received, I'll mention only one thing to avoid duplication of effort (and potential plagiarism). It is easy to identify single flamingos and also the pair that is third from the right. However, the far left pair can give the impression from the orange reflections that it actually consists of three or possibly four birds. In this respect, the image is slightly abstract. Clearly, it reflects what we already know about your photography! - - My best always, michael - - Ciao!

Michael I am glad you liked it, many thanks for your careful observation and interpretation of the apparent number of flamingos present based on their reflections
