rainy day wooly

Greg & Verena...Nice shot of the little she-Downy!Is this a night shot?Here,I just started putting out food in the feeders and it didn't take long for the birds to come back including 3-Downys to pick at the seed bell;two males are having it out for domination of the bell/female?Salutations-Laurent

Laurent- thanks- not night, just dark, rainy day so instead of giving up I tries an off camera flash through the window. WHatever fell outside the reach of the flash appears black. Never sure which is a downy or a wooly- I'll go with you!

Greg & Verena..The Downy has a short beak and is slightly smaller than the Hairy(Wooly?)...Now that's about how much I know about these birds!!!Salutations-Laurent....PS that SONY sure gives you good sharp results.
