vincentoiseau 83 Posted January 4, 2020 Hi Michael, how nice to see an animal photo in your work! I like the pose and look of this reptile against the background, which shows its colors are destined to make it it as inconspicuous as possible. DoF is spot on, as the animal's body and head are in focus. Well seen and shot! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted January 5, 2020 Iguanas, like other species of lizards, has the ability to alter its coloration and perhaps its skin texture for purposes of camouflage, as you noted, Vincent. We have them in abundance in SE Florida, to the point they are considered nuisances. That's not at all my position though. Those homeowners who discover iguanas eating their landscaping should install heavy duty chicken wire around it for protection. Iguanas were here first and therefore have squatter's rights. Fortunately, had not my timing with focusing the camera and clicking the shutter been immediate, this creature would have been up the tree in no time. Thanks for your expert observations on the image. And, finally, given my daily routines, aside from dogs, cats, and birds, my animal subjects aren't overly varied. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
