Giangiorgio Crisponi 452 Posted December 12, 2019 This heron (Egretta garzetta) despite the attempts of the big fish not to be swallowed by fanning the spines, was able to eat it. Nikon d850, Sigma supertele 300-800mm, f / 8, 1/1000 sec, ISO 1400. Birds are free in the wild. Thanks for your comments Link to comment

Giangiorgio, this image portrays one of nature's fundamental dramas - to eat or be eaten. I'm guessing that the bird is in a nest and is preparing to regurgitate parts of the fish to hatchlings once it has been digested. - - My best always, michael - - Ciao! Link to comment
