Abandoned house in Romanian hills

rpallagi

It was my first day with my 300D. I found this house up in the mountains, which was told to be used by foresters. It was very cold, and I had to stop breathing to avoid my breath or camara shake destroying the image. The 18-55 lens is rather slow, but I dont know what I would have done without in this house since it had such small rooms my 28-200 would't let me to take this one (1.6X multiplier)

Hi Rolan, you've got yourself a nice pic here, somewhat different than mine. Ruins aren't easy to find nowadays since they seem to tear the houses down even before they start falling appart. However I would like trying some portrait shots in a place like this, kind of creepy but with perfect textures that you seldom find anywhere else. Keep up the good work!

the reason i like the first pic is cuz the room is the picture... there is a frame within the frame... in the second picture the frame is a frame for the frame of a frame... haha i hope others get my logic ... haha... any way... i love this photo i think the light "play" is the real focus for me... how the windows let light in to the rooms diffrently .... cheers to a great image...

It's still a bit unsharp. Could be the upload quality, could be camera shake, could be DOF issue. Where did you focus?

By the way, which mountains were these? (Don't tell me "carpathes"...be more precise:) )
