Franz, I wonder whether the 2 dominant tribes of Rapa Nui had an extremely intense feud as a fiction movie (entitled "Rapa Nui") portrayed. Michael, thank you for your comment. It's a very interesting question what happend with the ears. When you see pictures from the Easter Island, you see that some people of his family have ears, others don't have. Who knows the reason? Maybe Erich von Däniken. Best regards, Franz
