vincentoiseau 83 Posted October 19, 2019 Hi Franz, very nice minimalistic photo with the door and the wheel as opposite forms placed against the white wall. Was that Graf related to 'our' Bernhard von Lippe-Biesterfeld? Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
FranzWeber 368 Posted October 20, 2019 Vincent, thank you for your comment. Graf Wilhelm zu Schaumburg-Lippe indeed was related to Bernhard von Lippe-Biesterfeld: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haus_Lippe . Wilhelm was an interesting man. He not only ordered the construction of the fortress, he ordered the construction of the island to. 1772 he ordered the construction of a Submarine called "Steinhuder Hecht". michaellinder 16,611 Posted October 20, 2019 Franz, this could be a museum piece. Aside from the simplicity and elegance that Vincent and Daniel mentioned, respectively, what I found exceptional is a slight illusion (whether intended or not); The door seems to disappear into the wall behind it. Outstanding work! - - My best, michael Link to comment
pablowarko 1 Posted October 22, 2019 The light really sets up some nice contrast to the image, Franz. I like the austere look to the building. Wonderful composition and presentation. Greetings, Paul. Link to comment
