Wayne Sadler 558 Posted September 29, 2019 Often, I too look for designs in construction sites. You found and presented this well. Link to comment
bruckner 517 Posted September 29, 2019 The arrangement of the objects with the angle chosen make good presentation, well done. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted September 29, 2019 There are enough diagonals in this scene, Jack, to satisfy your eternal quest for them. To me, given the predominance of horizontals and verticals, the diagonals complete the linearity of this image. Picking up on George's reference to the photo's angle, without this strong element, and if the photo had been shot at street level, it seems to me that some of the diagonals would disappear and it would lose a lot of its impact. Overall, the image's appeal to me is its complex geometry, aided by the subdued color palette. It has both realism and a bit of fancy, which compels me to put it in my favorites. (PS) I just posted a photo for critique that has your name on it.) Link to comment

DGorinstein 20 Posted October 2, 2019 Hi Jack: a Very nice back-to-back couple of photographs. Your very keen, special and characteristic POV transforms a construction site is something of interest and a matter of visual study. I do not cease to be amazed by how such a common, every-day view is metamorphosed into an element of conscious, careful observation....and the ever-present question of how you came about photographing this, and why. In any case, you bring in front of all of us, in a silver platter, a single pearl in the middle to be regarded, observed and carefully analyzed. My silent, deep bow of respect. Onegaishimasu.
