Giangiorgio Crisponi 454 Posted September 11, 2019 Nutria with toothpick – Myocastor coypus. This nutria that gnaws on a stem of grass seems to be cleaning its big orange teeth with a toothpick. vincentoiseau 83 Posted September 11, 2019 Hi Giangiorgio, wonderful shot of this rodent snacking or toothpicking. The framing, focus and DoF are really excellent! Are these animals rare on Sardegna? Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
Giangiorgio Crisponi 454 Posted September 12, 2019 Thanks Vincent for your generous appreciated comment. These rodents were once bred also in Sardinia for their fur, since they were no longer profitable they have been left free and now there are thousands scattered on all the waterways of Sardinia Link to comment

tai 3 Posted October 17, 2019 Charming nutria in a wet coat, Giangiorgio! I guess it drinks some strong natural cocktail to dry faster. Well captured and funny! Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana P.S. By the way (or not by the way), in a cold climate, birds drink alcohol when they eat overripe berries in early spring. Sorry my belated comment. Link to comment
Giangiorgio Crisponi 454 Posted October 17, 2019 Thanks Tatiana for your nice comment and for the interesting note about the birds that drink alcohol Link to comment
