This is definitely one of those pictures that should be viewed large. Its detail and the interesting composition is quite lost in the thumbnail which accounts for my late comment. It's been put together like an elaborate puzzle or a sophisticated piece of inlay marquetry. (I had to do a Google search to find the correct term). Excellent, Michael.

Jack, I spent a lot of time on this image and liked the outcome. I'm so grateful that you felt the need to look up a word and then use it in your comments. I too did Internet research. Your use of marquetry actually places me in very good company - a friend who is a master woodcrafter, and who occasionally uses the marquetry technique. Finally, knowing you use the term "excellent" sparingly, I'm even more grateful.
