michaellinder 16,611 Posted September 3, 2019 This critter is an invasive species that found its way to southern Florida by way of Texas, having originated in South America. (I obtain these facts from the Internet.) I do know from experience that the toad's back includes large sacs of poison. Although not harmful people unless someone who has touched the poison and has touched his/her eyes or mouth, it can be deadly to smaller animals. For you taxonomy freaks, its current Latin classification is Rhinella Marina ( Previously, Bufo Marinus). Link to comment
