bernath 2 Posted July 12, 2019 Thank you, Philip. Sometimes damselflies return to the same place where they were resting. When it occurs, they may return several times and within a couple of seconds. I try to take advantage of this habit. It is a matter of luck whether the insect returns exactly to the same place, not a couple inches away and in the plane where the focus is preset. In this regard, my “luck rate” is about 1:50. You can tell from the stretched legs leaning forward that it is just about to land. Best,- Sandor Link to comment

tai 3 Posted July 12, 2019 Adorable winged beauty and the whole insect series, Sandor! Well done! Sincerely, Tatiana P.S. I did not know about the habit of insects to return to exactly the same place. I will try to take advantage of your experience. Link to comment
bernath 2 Posted July 12, 2019 Thank you, Tatiana, for the kind words. Please note, of the insects I have ever tried to make a photo of, only dragonflies and damselflies have this habit of returning occasionally to the same place for rest. Kind regards, Sandor Link to comment
