Giangiorgio Crisponi 454 Posted July 3, 2019 Flamingos at dawn. (Phoenicopterus ruber). The photos were taken at dawn at the first rays of sun from the top of a hill overlooking the Cagliari lagoons. Shooting distance about 1 Km ( 0,62 mile). This morning at sunrise the rippling water took on an unusual abstract pattern that I had never observed before and I don't think I will see again. Nikon D500, Sigma supertele 300-800mm, f / 5.6, 1 / 2000sec, ISO 100. Thanks for your comments Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted July 4, 2019 Giangiorgio, I selected this image for critique due to its peaceful appearance and mood. The other two share the same abstract pattern you noted and, so, they are excellent as well. I found the single, silhouetted flamingo t be quite intriguing, especially since it found a sandbar on which to perch. Its silhouetted reflection and the sandbar's orange add a great deal of interest. - - My best always, michael - - Ciao! Link to comment
