dougityb 0 Posted October 26, 2003 This is an image that easily could have undergone color shifts in any direction, which leads me to ask why the greenish cast was chosen? I don't object to it, accepting it as your choice and working with that in my appreciation, but I can't help wondering why not any other color (no other color comes to mind, but I can't help wondering). Was the scene green like this? Did the film return green and you just left it? Why wasn't it neutralized? Does this hue match the upholstry of your couch? Link to comment
koval 0 Posted October 26, 2003 I could easly just say : why not :))) however if you look at the tech info you will see that it was not manipulated image. So , that is how it was registered on the media. I did not feel that going for other colour cast is going to change the image. So , it stayed untouched. PK . Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted October 26, 2003 I see. I didn't read the tech info, and so didn't realize it was unmanipulated, but I would have had the same reaction, anyway. Thanks for your reply. Link to comment
laurence_smith2 0 Posted October 27, 2003 Stunning simplicity. You have shown an example of how wonderful a photograph can be, using the simple components. I love the green color. Wonderful image. Is it possible to purchase this image? I don't know the "rules" on here yet, so that is why I am asking. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 28, 2003 ...one of the most elegantly simple, beautiful and special works I have seen yet. Link to comment
berniek 0 Posted October 28, 2003 Piotr, you continue to produce compelling work both complicated images and simple ones like this. My only qualm is a bit too much negative space to the right Some exposure data would be helpful -- I'm trying to understand how you got the Velvia to go green (the color does look manipulated).
