Congratulations by that bw-composition. The tonality is excellent because it combines with the motif of the scene. You balanced the composition by to insert actions occurring at the edges (babysitter on the left and parent/child on the right). Note that the inclusion of these two elements gave much dynamism in the composition because the suject is naturally immobile. I like to apply this technique to register urban scenes including people (documentary and journalism) in cityscape mode. The domain of chaos would be better if the empty area between the composition subject and the element on right edge would be reduce by filling the frame. That care has to be taken at the time of the click. But it's very hard to contain our impulsiveness to shot the scene at the right time and get the best frame. We have to be very patient and a lot of luck. It would be ideal if we could, when shooting a scene with urban people, hit with all people the ideal position of they in the composition. Very well done. Congratulations. Roldao.

Ken, had you shot this photo from a higher vantage point, it might have more artistic appeal . But as it is, its realism is what works so well. With the furs covering portions of the warriors' backs, I suspect that the reenactment took the people witnessing it firsthand quite far back in British history. A substantial history is something that England shares with many other countries throughout the world, just not the US though. - - My best, michael

Michael. your critique is very accurate and most welcome, thank you. There was a lot going on making composition very difficult, this hopefully captures the mood of the day. Best regards Ken.
