Ken, this is very moody, but the low key tonality doesn't allow the mood to be somber. The fact that the subject's back is facing us doesn't allow us to reach a similar conclusion about his mood. There's an additional mystery which the intersection at the right provides. Finally, I really like the quite sharp presentation of the bricks and stones. - - My best, michael
