michaellinder 16,611 Posted June 14, 2019 To answer the question, they all have escaped cages everywhere and are roaming the world. The monkeys that inhabited this one must have been particularly dangerous given the presence of barbed wire. Another allegory, Jack. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted June 14, 2019 Thanks, Michael. Most of my new uploads (with the exceptional of that single "cute" cityscape) haven't gotten much notice at all as I search for less obvious "pictorial images" to find scenes that perhaps whisper to me alone. That's the danger of posting on a site like this that you're tempted to put up pictures that you know will get a response rather than pictures that resonate with you personally but probably with few others. So I appreciate you've taken the time to let me know that there may be others out there who appreciate the innuendo. Link to comment
wolfgangarnold 142 Posted June 15, 2019 My answer: the monkeys are on this side of the fence :-) Indeed, this photo may not be an immediate eye-catcher - although the colours and tonality provide a very harmonic background-tune. Only at second glance I notice, that it's kind of absurd to put these neglected objects (concrete blocks and towel rail) behind a fence... which gets me back to the beginning of my comment: where is inside and where is outside? vincentoiseau 83 Posted June 16, 2019 Hi Jack, I hope you'll never succumb to the danger of putting up pictures you know will get a response rather than resonate with you personally, and I think you can accept that challenge easily. This photo shows your quality; there is almost nothing to see here, but your keen eye and your photographic skills lift this enclosed nothingness to another level, showing its ultimate lack of meaning in a most eloquent photographic style. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
