tai 3 Posted May 30, 2019 Great shot, Jack! Funny hybrid of crane and zebra. This powerful device has gained charm. Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment
patrickcompagnucci 30 Posted May 30, 2019 Great capture Jack! When I first looked at this I thought it was a concrete truck with it's drum turned sideways, some new type or construction equipment. After reading Tatiana's comment I realized it was a crane. Well done. Regards, Patrick Link to comment

michaellinder 16,611 Posted June 1, 2019 If I didn't know better, Jack, I'd say you've watched too many "Transformer" movies. A zebra transforming itself into a piece of machinery?!? Great find, and even better bit of whimsy. Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted June 1, 2019 Your images are powerful magnets, which force is hard to escape, or a luring vortex that makes the viewer, even with vertigo, let themselves be swallowed by a giant whirlpool. It seems our wavelengths are surprisingly well attuned. Your photos and in this case, the strange animals you manage to come across (actually dreamlike) are like entering a museum: they are the first image I see while browsing the recent uploads. Fantastic! As always! All the best. DG Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted June 1, 2019 Tatiana, Patrick, Wayne, Vlad, ZT, Holger, Michael, Daniel. Thanks for the comments and interpretations. It was Robert Louis Stevenson who said "The world is so full of a number of things// I'm sure we should all be as happy as kings." All it takes is openness to the moments and a strong sense of wonder. Unfortunately we too often rush past life, lost in our heads or riveted to our smart phones. But I've found in those rare instances that I can quiet my internal chatter and pay attention that it's all there right in front of me - the most wonderful and unimaginable things. Link to comment
