frigo 4,155 Posted May 21, 2019 Gerald....Somewhat like the Inuksuk we have here in Canada.Any particular meaning or just an ''I was here'' monument?Good shot with a choice background!Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
Gerald Cafferty 83,460 Posted May 21, 2019 Hi Laurent, thanks for the comment. It has no meaning that I'm aware of, there is a tradition to build cairns on hilltops in walking areas which people add to when passing. This is the first I've found on a beach, but then the incoming high tide would impede their survival. This is how I found it ,apart from the small addition on top put there by my partner............BR..........GC. Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted May 21, 2019 I agree with Laurent good shot and background GC. These rock piles are common in several New England states, I have been told some are dedications while others just folks copying. Interesting anyway..............Best Always, Holger Link to comment
