vincentoiseau 83 Posted May 10, 2019 Hi Jack, the square crop of this image makes a big difference in my perception of it, as does the fact that most of the elements in this photo are shot against the light. The antennas, wires and satellite dishes lend the picture an urban notion, the side of the house that receives direct sunlight is rather sober in its appearance, almost stating something different. Well-presented and composed. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
tai 3 Posted May 11, 2019 Wonderful picture, Jack! At first glance it seems strict and flawless, and then ridiculous. Vincent very precisely noticed the "almost sober" house. I guess other “characters” are in a similar state. Television antennas want to fly, poster fell and says something incomprehensible, satellite antennas gossip, ...Bravo! patrickcompagnucci 30 Posted May 11, 2019 Nice one Jack. For me it's very Zen like, with wonderful tones. BR Patrick Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted May 12, 2019 A house of dark shadows seems to be flourishing under the lighting I see in this image. To me, the presence of a tiny smattering of white highlights is enough to dramatize the contrast between them and the darker tones throughout. I also see another trademark of yours, Jack - the unusual, in this case, the two antennae that look like weather vanes locked in place. Link to comment
Nick D. 4,750 Posted May 18, 2019 Hi Jack, it is interesting shot, something like Weston stile. Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted May 19, 2019 I like all the lines that seem to be leading to the left, maybe the arrow type antennas help me with that. To me this about tones and textures yet at the same time shows' us a bit of a neighborhood so we can relate. A little story in its' own way.............................BR, Holger Link to comment
