Never the usual, Stephanie; always looking for the image that seems to spring to life, almost to create itself. It's hard to explain exactly how I feel and that's perhaps why your pictures draw such little response nowadays - they don't slide easily into simple categories and people don't know what to say. There are no bar codes on your pictures for easy scanning so they are simply passed over. But that's just the point; I think one of your aims is to escape categories entirely which is why your work appeals to me. I'm not looking for simple explanations and easy answers except on my tax return.
