sarah marie jones 0 Posted October 25, 2003 The elements of this shot seem nearly perfect. I am impressed whenever a foliage shot is worth even a second glance because it is so easy to fall into visual cliche...but this is quietly inspired. Congratulations ! Best regards, sarah Link to comment
ryanlee 0 Posted October 25, 2003 Simple works for me :) I like how this frame contrasts the individuality of isolated leaves with the indistinguishability (ouch too many syllables.. headache..) of leaves in a mass. If you were a sociologist or a philosopher you'd have lots of parallels to draw. Good separation of subject without having to quash two negs together.. Great colour, and I love the oil painting type reflection too. Wonderful effort! Cheers, Link to comment
martin_paul 0 Posted October 27, 2003 I love the simplicity of this. It would be nicer without the grain but it isn't a big issue. Well done again! Link to comment
gearoid_osullivan 0 Posted December 7, 2003 No, it's not too simple. Colours are simple and appealing Link to comment
stp 6 Posted December 7, 2003 Not too simple at all. The content may be "simple," but I like the focus on the floating leaves (present tense) while their origin (the trees, past tense) is both out of focus and reflected. This is an interesting way to emphasize time. Imagine if you had crouched down and raised your camera, so that the trees were included in the image and in focus....it wouldn't have been as effective. alecee 0 Posted December 22, 2003 Nice colors but I detect quite a lot of noise on the water. Thanks for visiting my site. Link to comment
marionovak 0 Posted April 14, 2004 Great shot, I see the grain, but I love grain if it is used to build the shot as in this case. 400 Gold will do that, but still give very nice color balance. Link to comment
mareval 1 Posted April 19, 2004 With this only shot, I can see you are full of sensibility. It says much about you. Thanks. Regards. Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted April 30, 2004 In this world of choices, the Keen Observer (You) sees the extrodinary in the ordinary....the grandure in the plain, and the wonder of simple things. Thank you for knowing how to find a diamond in the rough and keeping it as precious, a gift you have.(This is where I fell in Love with you, at this point I had no more resistance to your charms Linda.) *R* Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted May 14, 2004 The world we know, and the world reflected, one we live in, the other inspected....one real, the other reverse... Side to side....up, down....Tis perverse , let the heart decide.....W. Roger Keagle....TMWLY ! Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted November 8, 2004 Pardon me for breaking the romantic exchages, Roger & Linda. If I may, I'd say this is the type of images that tickle my fancy as well. Leaves and reflections. Well done. As for the noise, I'm sure a selective blur would take care of that easily. Okay, you two may resume your position...^_^ Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted November 8, 2004 Wilson...that was back in May Since taking this, I have learned so much more in photoshop. Makes me want to take all of my uploads off like Amelie and start over again..... Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted November 8, 2004 I certainly understand that, Linda. I wouldn't bother it much if time doesn't permit because, IMHO, the concept communicates very clearly. All the PS work can come later. Nice one. ^_^ Link to comment
