At first I thought the snail might be sunbathing, but I changed my mind. Either it's hungry and is searching for food or it's displaying the amazing pattern on its back to attract a mate. The deep red on its shell might help in that regard. Also, I really like the leaf's serrated border. Well done, PDE. -- My best always, michael

PDE, for whatever it's worth, the reason I like the serrated edge is how it contrasts with other, smooth edges, in the image (the snail's shell, for example).
