The glory of orchids, which aren't too proud to house several raindrops . . . This image more than deserves the POTD, Radu. I love how the flowers overlap in such a way to maintain the diagonal direction. The colors and detail certainly live up to your exceptionally high standards. - - My best always, michael

The unequivocal good taste and great sensibility. I understand the patience and care you put into your work, which is exceptionally beautiful, a difficult dimension of photography to fully be understood. Almost palatable...the sweet flavor of a drop of rainwater. DG

This is really nice but the photoshop work isn't very good. Keep working on those skills. The image itself though and the focus etc looks great. Use DOF to blur out the background in camera, or use lighting to isolate those front blooms.

Jenny...Pardon my interference...this is not my photo but I think you should look at it again and see if your appreciation of the post processing might have been a bit harsh.I thank you in advance!Salutations-Laurent

I stand by my critique. To an amateur's eyes Im sure they wouldn't notice, but to any trained photographer it's very noticeable. You should never really know that a photo has been through photoshop if it's done well. The line between your processing and the orchids that are untouched is very pronounced.

THIS IS A SECOND TIME THAT I TRY TO ULPODE ON MY PAGE AN ANSWER AND DID NOT WORK,WHAT HAPPEN?

first answer to Laurent: thank you my friend for second comment and intention to support my photo. The truth is that after few hours that I uploaded the photo I saw my self that is something disturbing between bg and edge of petals but already had viewers and comments so I let it so as it is.This is it.

second answer to Jenny: after I read you first comment my intention was to ask you about details in what you said, and is a fact that I already knew what you want to say and was clear after I read answer for Laurent. Each time we have to learn and go step by step on next level,is why we are here and share our ideas, isn' it?

I actually thought not to comment further, but after looking at Jenny's portfolio and comments thereon, I might as well add a note. There is nothing wrong with critiquing someone's photo- that's why it's in the critique section- however, in a world becoming less and less civil, it behooves us all to be as kind as possible. There is no need to be judgemental (photoshop work isn't very good) or - to an amateur's eyes- these are your opinions, and, since photography appreciation is entirely subjective, as is all art, you cannot supplant your values on someone else. It would be perfectly valid to suggest, eg, if you are interested, it would be possible to clean up the edges around the bloom through photoshop-- Radu's response was pure gentlemanly, even in a language not native to him. Let's all watch our tone while offering constructive criticism in a helpful , supportive way. We certainly can all use that!
