st. john, new brunswick Storage Tanks

Certain pictures just reach out and hook me; this is one. I don't know when you shot this, early morning or late afternoon, but the tones are perfect. Even though there is nothing particularly extraordinary about this scene, the wide angle view and especially the color of the tanks - warm against a cooler background - makes for a photo that I find very satisfying.

I agree with Jack on this photo: it is not a spectacular view or scene, but the balance in the colors is very nice. I think it's also a good documentary shot and the lighting is spot-on. Kind regards, Vincent

Jack and Vincent - Forgive me for being tardy in responding to your comments. One of my favorite activities when shooting, and doing post work as needed on, a photograph is creating a silk purse from a sow's ear (at least when it works.) Many thanks to each of you. - - My best always, michael
