wolfgangarnold 142 Posted February 4, 2019 The half-hidden cyclist is well placed and framed nicely by the four trees. I also like the very subtle hint of autumn colours. The dark lower part - almost half of the photo - could be debatable (too "heavy"?) - but to me it's a solid foundation that counters lightheartedly top very well. Link to comment
FranzWeber 368 Posted February 4, 2019 Der Rheindeich ist halt so hoch ;o) . Außer bei Gursky. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted February 4, 2019 Wolfgang has put it very well and I am completely in agreement with him. I'm sure there will be some (many) who find fault with the lower half but I think Wolfgang is right about the base. There's just the barest hint of detail in the darkness that distinguishes it from some artificially imposed black element. Link to comment
FranzWeber 368 Posted February 5, 2019 Jack, I used the lower part to show how high the cyclist was on the dike. And silhouettes are silhouettes - in the upper part and the rest. BR, Franz Link to comment
wolfgangarnold 142 Posted February 5, 2019 Stimmt! Und Gurskys Rhein ist wahrscheinlich zu 95% im Rechner entstanden :-) Link to comment
