michaellinder 16,611 Posted February 2, 2019 Although the objects portrayed here are interesting in themselves and worth a look, it's the shadows I find fascinating. The one on the left exists in its own space, while the rest appear to form a community. Also, I like the surface lines which contrast dramatically with the freeform shapes sitting on them. vincentoiseau 83 Posted February 2, 2019 Hi Jack, this is an image that I really like a lot; its simplicity in composition, light and color has a calming effect. The leaves could be koi indeed, the grey surface could be water. The arrangement is playful, not something I see in a lot of your photos, although it is far from unorganized. The long shadows are magnificent. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted February 9, 2019 Hello dear Jack: Domo Arigato gosaimashita for sharing this "Nature in levitation". IMHO one of the most artistic, uplifting images, conveying inner peace and quietness. Reminds me of Edgerton's experiments of "freezing/stopping" grades of time to it's minimum...let's leave this at nanoseconds. Relaxing: An elegant Waltz on the Renaissance dancing floor, taken from the ceiling-covered by frescoes from the XVII century......or Nature's Chess game where all pieces move at once. A most respectful and heartfelt wish for a happy weekend.DG Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted February 9, 2019 It's hard to follow three very good comments like those above, they have made excellent observations. I like the simplicity and peace of the image Jack. It's not busy and allows the viewer to relax and concentrate on the subjects. Well done................Best Always, Holger Link to comment
