This photo is as odd and as thought-provoking as one of Tom Robbins' novels bearing a similar name, i.e., "Another Roadside Attraction." Ever since reading it, I pay a whole lot of attention to such attractions (regardless of color, shape, size, etc.). Ever since viewing your photos, Jack, I do the same looking at them. The bicycle wheel (aside from being one of your favorite subjects) serves as an excellent foil to the rest of the elements that are rectangular or square.

Michael, Wolfgang - Thanks for the visit and the comments. I think this picture is okay and the idea of squaring the circle occurred to me also but after repeated viewings I'd have to say it doesn't have the stuff to cross over into a particularly good photo. The only thing that breathes a little life into the image is the color contrast of the axle on the the bicycle wheel.

The proverbial mathematical rhetoric search for discovery and advancing: Can a square be contained in the circle and vice versa. The rust in the eye of the expanding universe is superb, refined and elegant. The perennial symbols of mathematical unanswerable questions, when the latter are just there, right in front of one. With great respect. DG
