Self portrait

An amazing self-portrait, Supriyo. The reflections may not portray your face, but they certainly portray your connection with the scene you were photographing. I'm also taken by the arches and brilliant highlights that are substituting for your face. Your monochrome work is a source of both wonder and inspiration.

This image is a pictorial trope, one that I've used myself before. I think your picture is a very good use of the device with your reflection serving as ground for the sharply delineated interior image. I appreciate the fact that you're always looking for a new way to see the world around you.

Thank you Michael. I must say this is not entirely original. I think you might have seen the self portraits of Vivian Maier. Thanks for mentioning the arches and the distant hallway door. I think, they create a sense of layering and depth, as well as a back and forth between the immediate vs distant.
