I photographed in light backlight this heron ( Egretta alba) while smoothing the feathers . Nikon D200, Sigma supertele 300-800mm, f/5,6, 1/2500 sec , ISO 200. The bird is free in nature. Thanks for your comments

Beautiful capture & framing

Giangiorgio, I would have stated that the bird appears to be preening on an islet, but Tatiana beat me to the punch. So, I'll be content by noting that, given the water's appearance, bird and water appear to be floating on air. You've created a wonderful image to match this wonder of nature. (By the way, this bird also inhabits southern Florida; it's most commonly used classification is great white egret.) - - My best, michael
