hstelljes 41 Posted January 6, 2019 The diffused look out of a condensated window has always appealed to me. This is very well done Wolfgang, it sets the imagination free to wander...........Best Regards, Holger Link to comment
FranzWeber 368 Posted January 6, 2019 Sehr schön- in Anlehnung an Leiters bestes Bild- gemacht. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 6, 2019 Yeah, Saul Leiter came to mind immediately. I have one of his photo books and some of his window shots are almost surreal in the images he comes up with. This one is more of a gentle abstract with just enough of a recognizable setting to keep one foot in the real world. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 7, 2019 Beautiful artistry by just shooting through a wet window. Well done! Link to comment
wolfgangarnold 142 Posted January 7, 2019 @Holger, Franz, Jack, Philip: many thanks for stopping by and commenting! Recently I came across the film "In no great Hurry" about Saul Leiter - which re-ignited my interest in his works. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,613 Posted January 9, 2019 Wolfgang, when I was looking at the thumbnail of this image, my first impression was that I was looking at an analog of the Emerald City. How happy I was, upon viewing the full version, to think that I was not going to change my mind. For all the reasons others have stated below, this image is simply dreamlike and enchanting. A favorite. Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted January 9, 2019 Hi Wolfgang, this is visual poetry. A painting of fleeting colors, fantastic water drop shapes and an intriguing mix of near and far. This goes into my favorites right away. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted January 10, 2019 Simply astounding and magnificent. You bring the viewer from the present (foreground) to the past (Impressionistic painting). A true masterpieces, and thank you for sharing it. Into my favorites! DG Link to comment
