Hi Gregory & Verona, from your portfolio, you have much more experience in photographing birds than I do. As a humble 'viewer'', the only feedback I can give is:

a) the detail and DoF is wonderful!

b) the contrast appears rather harsh

 

I completely understand that the contrast (light/dark) might well have been what it it was when the photo was taken.

pp might make the image look less hasrh.

Blue Jay that I know me too and have those of them in the yard,nice color seen here and details.Seems not to much snow there,same in my area ,hope will come more to be as must be for this year moment.All my best and good things to be in 2019.

Radu- thanks- indeed, we've just had a mini warm spell, so all snow is now gone. But cloudy weather seems to hang on. All the best for the new tear as well. We always enjoy your postings!
