A classic McRitchie! The brown object on the left side provides a signifiant division between what's to its left and the rest of the frame. It seems the grout areas between the bricks do the same work. Without the receptacle and the cord, the image would attract and hold my attention. But, throw these objects into the mix, and I experience the usual degree of befuddlement whenever I look at your work.

Ditto for the comment I most recently made on the "cat". This is a refreshing look at your view of your surroundings. Fresher, brighter, more energetic. Congratulations. This is one of those rare moments like Macbeth's: "Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing" ....... All the best. DG

this is another geometric riddle with a strong connection to the real world, like a lot of your images. I think this composition and these colors are very pleasing. My need for balanced proportions and straight lines causes some friction with this picture, but that is entirely my problem. Kind regards, Vincent

Michael, Daniel, Vincent - Three great comments from three great practitioners of the art: the art of photography as well as that of commentary. The latter is becoming one of the "lost arts", at least here on PN. I've come to realize that although I call myself primarily a street artist, I'm really more focused on the abstract rather than documentary or reportage; the street is just the source of my images. It's the vagary of the moment and the chance assemblage of form, line, color that I'm most interested in. This wall caught my eye and I've tried to capture the freshness of my first impression. I like life's surprising little gifts, the sudden intrusion of the unexpected. Vincent, you're right, I could have been more careful with my horizontals and verticals. This isn't the first time that it's been pointed out to me. Thanks again for your kind assessments.
