Bicycle Parking

I am so glad the bicycles are numbered so that, under different circumstances, I could tell them apart. Whatever the purpose of the metallic objects across the back wheels (locks perhaps), I like how they parallel the horizontal white stripe and also how they appear in differing positions within the frame. Finally, I am compelled to note my relief in seeing a photo involving bicycles after having not seen them for a while. Whew!

Michael, Donna - Thanks so much for your comments. This is the type of picture that appeals to me for reasons that Donna has guessed very well. Alas, I don't think there's much of an appetite for this genre anymore on PN. It's not the extraordinary per se that attracts me but the ordinary transformed. I think you understand this, too, Michael. By the way, Michael, don't worry, there's no shortage of bicycles or bicycle shots in Osaka.

Your images are a powerful magnet, and then relentless to let go. I "understand" totally your photo (I hope!), so to comment on its many hidden treasures, aspects, qualities, et. al. would not only be redundant, but meaningless, because a frozen 1/x of a second is not so lightly described, and useless. One should just sit, watch and ponder......DG

Indeed, a different point of view here is not popular, but I think Jack probably does not have a problem with it, coming back to photo, great composition and orderly diversity, very reflecting character of Japanese ......
