Dismantling a Landmark

Although this is a street photo, it clearly has documentary value as well. It speaks to the disdain that, too often, informs decisions to take down landmark masonry structures that are perceived as too old and worn, and to replace them with glass and steel. Now that I've provided an editorial, I also most take note of the photo's quirkiness. This is provided by the two workers carrying panels; I wonder whether they're going to engage in a primitive kind of demolition derby. Good one, Jack!
