Number 7

I really like the abstract forms that suggest something monumental though I imagine this is more due to the angle of the shot. I do feel that something is a little off in the focus which tends to slide away on the edges and the light balance which has probably been corrected to bring out the detail in the darker areas at the cost of some blown out brighter regions. With all that, it's certainly a picture that got my attention.

Hello Michael: Congratulations on being selected as an Editor's Pick. I concur with Jacks comments on the blurriness of the sides, but in all honesty, I was looking the "greater picture". The perspective grabbed me immediately, and the clamorous and ponderous "7" just hammered in my full atention to what it is I am looking at. Like a futuristic photograph, cybernetic. Best regards. Daniel, thanks for acknowledging a decision I wouldn't have made. Frankly, in my opinion, I've produced other abstract or semiabstract b&w images that are better than this one. But, I truly am grateful that you found elements of it that were worthy of your time and effort to comment. - - My best always, mhl
