Friendly, but Suspicious

It's interesting how the way a composition is framed can add immediacy and a sense of the candid moment to a picture. Of course it's a very fine line between something that piques your interest and something headed for the garbage can. I always rely on my first impression when viewing my own pictures or those of others. If it doesn't catch me right away no amount of intellectual explanation will bring that "ah-hah" moment. With all the exotic beasts you have uploaded this session, it's oddly amusing that I was drawn to a common cat.

Jack, as much as I like exotic beasts, it's the common, ordinary ones that tend to wow me with their own special beauty. Your point about first impressions is well taken. Thanks!
