Hi Gail

Pleased to see new work from you. Great colours, textures and forms in your super abstract image. As I look it becomes 3D. The leading character seems to have its origins in a key imprint but here takes on the role of the shadow of a sinister organic form, pointing to what?

Hoping for more

Regards Tony

Gail - first of all, good to have you back and I hope we'll see more of your work on a regular basis. I just returned from a four month hiatus myself and hope we can gather together enough active participants to return PN (photo side) to the exciting place of stimulating photos, and intelligent comment, opinion and ideas that it used to be. This picture brings to mind the prehistoric caves of Lascaux in its color, texture and hint of man-made patterns. All we need is a woolly mammoth or a saber tooth tiger to complete the picture.

Hi Gail, I agree with Jack. A hieroglyphic abstract that comes alive with colors and shapes. Very beautiful and artistic. So nice to see new work from you. I too have been missing in action from PN, trying to get back in the swing of things. Take care.................Best Always, Holger

Hello Gail! How good to see you back....only making seconds to the previous similar messages to be posting again. Totally enigmatic for me. A human symbol? or just a haphazard pull of Earths Gravity on watercolor slowly dripping...However the case an enticing. Amazingly artistic and decorative. Regards. DG

Hi Antony - good eye ! I was doing some still life shots and was very close to some bright natural light from living room window. The image was 'blown' but the 'left overs' were rather interesting. I used a texture or two in order to complete my intent which was an Abstract. But you got the 'key' right !! I hope you are doing well my friend !!

Hi Jack, I hope to be online here more. Computer problems have kept me away - still admit I have trouble finding my way about here - but do miss everyone. Many thanks for your thoughts on this one. Basically rescued a photo that was a 'throw away' and with the help of textures and I also used some Photoshop brushes to add more interest - ended up with an Abstract that pleased me enough. Hope all is good overseas - good to hear from you.

Where have you been Gail? I am sure many PN members miss your art. I wanted to search for your latest work, as I have seen no recent postings. I hope you are doing well, and thus I send you my best wishes. DG

P.S. Oh, BTW, this is an exceptional abstract capture that implies the origins of humankind.

Thank you Daniel for asking where I've been. I've not been on my Computer much this last year. My son's wife passed away in a tragic car accident and with helping him out, and dealing with all the loss associated with such an event, I kind of got 'stuck'. Even to this day he is struggling. And then there is his little Layla. I didn't even have any interest in my Computer and that is not like me. I am now dealing better but with Covid, it sure has made life a bit difficult in some ways. But I am fortunate. I have a roof over my head, am able to afford good meals, family who loves me. I am blessed beyond measure, so I do not complain. I almost think this pandemic has made people look at their lives, and I hope see how blessed they also are, perhaps we all needed a 'reboot'. We take so much for granted in this life. I am blessed to have good friends like you and others who stop by still and comment on my photos !
