Dead trees and empty nest at Southern California's severely threatened inland Salton Sea.

It can be difficult to make an image at the Salton Sea, Bart, but you've done a masterful job with this one. I am always struck by just how surrealistic the landscape is around the Salton Sea. Well done! Chris

Two views, the two sides of the coin who cannot see each other, but know they are there. The photograph on the one side, is exquisite, technically, visually, artistically, enthralling. A truly artful image deserving any top gallery. On the other side, the sadness and feeling of uselessness, passively watching how the human race perpetrates awful deeds in a truly unique place in the Universe. There is a third side: the politicians, which are, for me, different beings​. DG
