Jack McRitchie 150 Posted December 6, 2018 This is a very good shot, Michael. The old structure seems to have decided to abandon its previous identity and as much as possible merge with the surrounding woods. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted December 7, 2018 Thanks very much, Roldao and Warren. For some reason unknown to me, I am drawn to these scenes. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted December 7, 2018 Jack, every time you are absent from the site for more than a few days, my paranoia that you aren't returning increases. Thanks for calming me down. As I stated to Roldao and Warren, this sort of scene attracts me; the title provides the explanation. Suffice it to say that my later life is much different than my earlier one (positively). Also, since I revere nature, I usually am pleased when I see natural elements overcoming human-made ones. Thanks for your usual keen observations and analyses. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted December 7, 2018 Hi Michael, I like your presentation of this image. I agree with Jack in that It appears that the structure has been abandoned so long it has become one with the terrain. Perhaps your pp or maybe reality but whatever the route the result is somehow artistic to me. Never thought I'd say that about a rundown shed in the woods ;-) Fine work my friend...............BR, Holger Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted December 7, 2018 Holger, I found this scene in a residential neighborhood in Athens, Georgia. Apparently, the city's zoning standards are somewhat lax, because one can see more upscale homes in close proximity to structures that are ramshackle to certain degrees. This shack sits on property on which a mobile home sits. Thanks so much, as always, for your supportive and meaningful review. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
