Wayne Sadler 558 Posted November 19, 2018 Ahh, uniquely good. The fence breaks up the portrait interestingly. Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted November 19, 2018 Wayne...Thank you for the kind observation. These boys in a remote village were torn between their timidity and the curiosity/facination with the bearded guy waving the camera.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted November 21, 2018 Cher Laurent: J'espère que vous allez bien et que ce message exprime mes meilleures salutations personnelles. You obviously won the hearts of these kids. Your portrait reflects so many things, I guess because you masterfully managed for them to look directly to YOU - even when you were probably looking at them through your lens! :-) - The expressions you captured are fantastic, and can tell so many things. I especially like the smaller kid, because his gaze denotes what the nose and mouth are doing, and an inner shining. Congratulations as always on your exceptional work. DG Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted November 22, 2018 Cher ami Daniel..Toujours aussi généreux et éloquent avec tes appréciations et je t'en remercie.I think I shared with you before that this type of image taking had to be,for me,the most satisfying as it not only left images but a lasting memories of enriching encounters with facinating people. At the time of this and other shots from my time in Indonesia,Digital was not available so every shot had to count imposing a discipline in selection of subjects and putting extra pressure to have the correct timing.Of course, one only found out if a shot was good later when the prints were available and at the time,multi-shots were not really an option because of the $ incidence.Glad you like this one!Salutations -Laurent Link to comment
