michaellinder 16,611 Posted November 1, 2018 Laurent, this image is very poignant, and it drew me in emotionally as well as visually. It portrays the sort of relationship between a human being and a nonhuman being that probably is unique to children. They don't lose their innocent acceptance of the animal and plant worlds until later in life. Congratulations on a fine portrait. - - My best, michael Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted November 1, 2018 Michael...Glad you like the shot and thank you for the observation. This was up in the Peruvian Andes and what attracted me first was to find the fashion label on the little guy's cap and then the proximity between the two some of which might have been a way for the boy to shed some of his timidity in front of that stranger with the camera by half hiding behind the cute animal.I think your observation is particularly true with these children,some/most of whom have little connection with the outside word given the absence of electronic means(tv,internet, even electricity) plus the fact that their contribution to the family unit often includes the caring/guarding of the valuable family animal stock which leads to favorites as this lamb seemed to be.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
