michaellinder 16,611 Posted October 31, 2018 Laurent, your title and your comment clearly are based on prior experience. I wouldn't be surprised if your area began seeing changes in what to expect in the future. In any case, This is another image documenting the unique beauty of autumn. Four is entirely right about the composition . By the way, is that a section of your driveway, or is it possibly an area of a pond with a superficial freeze? - - My best, michael Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted October 31, 2018 Michael....We normally have a pretty spectacular autumn color show given the high density of Maple,Birch and Aspen trees but we are also accustomed to having this short lived because of the high winds which precipitate the shedding. This year, the winds were relatively mild and the colors stayed up and I was sort of hoping for some snow to lighten things up and it happened. As with most first snows,it was rather wet, even a mix of rain& snow and it started very fast taking everyone off-guard....but I had the snow tires on the car and made it home safely. The slush built up a few inches giving the impression of a sheet of ice as you detected on my driveway in this shot;I posted another shot with the slush atop the leaves decorated driveway you commented earlier. You are right about the climat changes and the biggest fear here for coast dwellers is the very evident rise in the water levels;we were spared flooding conditions this year(to date) as the high tides happened when the winds were down.Enough....thank you for liking the shot!Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
