A very strong documentary photograph, Ian. It dramatically conveys the main problem confronting homeless people. Ultimately, most who are not homeless consider these people less than human, because - among other things - their clothes are tattered and worn, and because they often panhandle on sidewalks and street corners. In this case, the man on the left who, at first blush, doesn't appear homeless seems to providing the homeless man what looks like some food in a box. I'm glad you didn't exploit the homeless person by showing his face. One technical note - To me, this image had to be in b&w; good choice on your part.
