michaellinder 16,613 Posted September 27, 2018 First, I must note how interesting the clouds are in connection with the church. One rather dark one is responsible for partially hiding the top of the steeple. The entire cloud bank seems to hover over the church in somewhat a menacing way. Secondly, I find the white vignette helps the contrast. Excellent b&w work, especially the tonality. - - My best, michael Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted September 28, 2018 Michael...Thank you for examining and for the very appreciated observation.Of course, you recognized my favourite church as the base for this tumultuous sky image which I worked in PP to maximize the drama including the masking of a blown out spot where the sun was peeking through.I intentionally applied a wide vignette to further enclose the drama but on looking at it now,I think I could have eased up some where it could have been less invasive on the cemetery at the bottom.But....glad you like!Merci et salutations-Laurent Link to comment
