Wow. I have wondered if photographers who can solicit this kind of expression and image from their subjects is exuding something about their own personality. This is a great portrait, Laurent.

Wayne...I thank you for the most kind observation.You must have guessed that getting this kind of shot was accompanied by great satisfaction and I now realize that while seeking these,I almost forgot about the great landscapes surrounding these wonderful people.I guess part of the secret/my secret was to never be forceful and never have the camera pointed at people before having some sort of ''introduction'' or some degree of acknowledgement before starting to click.Of course I was not pressed for time as a visitor would be and had the leisure of coming back another day as my stay in Indonesia in this case was almost three years. Not knowing the local language brought some degree of challenge but on the other hand,getting attention as in this shot was not really difficult as the bearded white skinned guy that I am automatically raised great interest/curiosity especially from the young ones.Going back in my files stirrs fond memories and I am glad it captured your attention.Salutations-Laurent
