DGorinstein 20 Posted September 11, 2018 Cher Laurent: mes meilleures salutations comme tojours. WOW! Powerful and striking! Ominous, foreboding, imposing. I find this masterful in many respects. I especially like the inclination of the telephone posts, giving the impression of receding in time. The bright light barely - but overwhelmingly - passing through the windows with the sharpness of a candent knife on butter, and the sky becoming menacing. I think this is a one-of-a-king photograph for the perspective and because it leads to juxtaposed interpretations: a quiet nice afternoon and sunset....or the coming of darkness and all the unknowns and mysteries belonging to its psychic nature. Amazing! Into my favorites right away! Best regards. DG Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted September 11, 2018 Bonjour Daniel et merci des bonnes salutations et de l'appréciation.Actually, this was a chance capture as I was pressed for time and as I drove by the little church at early morning, the sun was just coming up and lighting that good sky.I stopped for a few shots and as I passed on the west side of the church and was seeking a POV which hid the direct sun behind the church to get it in silhouette, the small windows were lit up by the penetrating sun....a BONUS!The lean on the powerpoles might be real but are surely helped by the pull of my favourite WA lense.Guess this is one of those shots resulting from being at the right place at the right time.I am honoured you find it interesting enough to store it in your Favorites.Merci et salutations amicales-Laurent Link to comment
