Yulong River Guangxi Province, China

foureyes

the Karst hills of the Guangxi province in China are like a dreamland,

they have captured my imagination like no other place I've visited.

Totally stunning, maybe the best of the best for me. Composition, color and the sun nails it. And one of the great locations in all Asia.

Foureyes, the composition and lighting conditions really do it for me. The composition is 98% of t,he effort, the v-shape of the boats in the FG draw the eye in and then lead to the massif in the center of the BG with the smaller mounts on either side. There is an elegant symmetry and balance to to this. The lighting conditions are the bonus, and you were quite pragmatic with your processing and not over-the-top by any means. This is an image that was well conceived, visualized and executed. Cheers! Chris

Fantastic! I was on the Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo back in 2010 and I'll never forget sites like this one!! This photo is one of the best I've ever seen of the beauty of that area! Bravo indeed!

Christopher I appreciated your comment, you have a discerning eye, the way you analyzed the components of the image is the greatest compliment, is interesting that you read it that way because I shot provably 100+ pictures at the exact spot and only a few had that asymmetrical balance that you mentioned, thanks again !
