Bee eater ( Merops apiaster)

The bee-eater ( Merops apiaster), a beautiful bird with a colorful plumage, feeds mainly on bees. these bee eaters photographed in Sardinia come from Africa after a long migration of thousands of kilometers. Nikon D500, Sigma 150-600 sport , f/6,3, 1/2000 sec, ISO 200. All the birds are free in nature. Thanks for your comments

Amazingly beautiful birds and photos, Giangiorgio! Remarkably captured! Google told me these birds are building caves with a long tunnel to the exit. Probably the bird sits near the nest. Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana
